Who I am
This website is run by Alexander James Projects Ltd (“I”, “me”), a bathroom design and installation business based in Newton Abbot, Devon. I am responsible for any personal information you share through this site.

What I collect
I only collect what you choose to give me when you:
- fill in the consultation or brochure request forms: your name, email address, phone number (optional), project postcode, and the details you share about your project, budget and timings;
- message me on WhatsApp, email or phone: whatever you include in your message, such as photos of your room.
How I use it
- To reply to your enquiry, arrange a consultation and prepare a quotation.
- To send you the brochure if you request it.
- To carry out and manage your project if you go ahead.
The legal basis is that it’s needed to respond to your request before entering into a contract with you, and my legitimate interest in running the business. I never sell your information or use it for unrelated marketing.
Who it’s shared with
Only with the services needed to deliver your message to me:
- Web3Forms: delivers website form submissions to my email inbox.
- My email provider: where enquiries are received and stored.
- WhatsApp (Meta): only if you choose to contact me on WhatsApp.
If your project goes ahead, I may share relevant details with trusted suppliers or specialists working on it.
How long I keep it
Enquiries that don’t lead to a project are deleted within 2 years of our last contact. If you become a customer, I keep project records for as long as needed for guarantees, accounting and legal requirements (usually 6 years).
Your rights
You can ask to see the information I hold about you, correct it, have it deleted, or object to how it’s used. Just email alex@alexanderjamesprojects.co.uk. If you’re unhappy with how your information has been handled, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
