Serving Brixham & Torbay
Alexander James Projects covers Brixham as part of Torbay. The published picture is fishermen’s cottages on steep hills, where access, drainage and ventilation have to be planned before the fittings are chosen.
Rooms are often smaller than in Torquay. The design is a tight, calm layout, not a scaled-down villa bathroom.

Why this page is specific
This page exists because Brixham’s cottages are a different problem from Wellswood or Paignton. Anything not already written about the town is left as a confirmation, not filled in.
The existing line is careful planning for access, drainage and ventilation on hillside and seafront homes.
Compact fittings and a clear floor plan matter more than a large bath. Waterproofing is still complete.
Extraction and tanking for coastal humidity are described on the Torbay page and apply here too.
A few finished rooms. Property locations are not shown.

Local notes
The Torbay introduction names fishermen’s cottages stacked up the hillsides in Brixham. Steep ground changes how waste runs and how materials get to the door. Those constraints are surveyed, not guessed from the street.
A small cottage bathroom can still feel open: a walk-in shower, a wall-hung basin, and tiles that do not chop the room into busy grids.
Harbour parking, skip licences and a named Brixham project are not in the current copy. They are not invented here. The consultation is where access is agreed.
Second homes and lets are a bay-wide subject. If the cottage is let, scheduling between bookings is already offered where the diary allows. The detail sits on the Torbay page.
A bathroom includes design, sourcing, strip-out, plumbing, carpentry, plastering, full waterproofing, tiling and finishing. The quote is itemised, including electrics, decorating, waste and the skip. A typical project takes 4–8 weeks. If this is your only bathroom, the work is phased to keep disruption down. There is no temporary WC.
The price depends on the size of the room and the specification. Every quote is fully itemised, and the home consultation is free.
The site already says steep sites and older cottages in Brixham need careful planning for access, drainage and ventilation. That is checked on site.
Yes. The portfolio shows finished rooms. Property locations are not published.
It depends on the room, any layout changes and what is found once the old suite is out. Alexander James Projects agrees a plan before work starts in Brixham and confirms product deliveries first, so the installation is not waiting on items.
Ask who you will deal with day to day, what the quote includes (preparation, waterproofing, tiling, products), how changes are agreed, and what happens when the job is finished. With Alexander James Projects the answer to the first question is Alex, from the visit to the final finish.
Yes. You can choose from the brochure, ask for almost any brand, or supply some items yourself so the quotation reflects that.
No. Alex designs, sources and manages the project. A small team of trusted trades works with him. There is no salesperson in between.
Most people do. If the room is your only bathroom, how you will manage during the work is agreed before it starts.
Check that each quote includes the same preparation, waterproofing, plumbing, tiling and finishing, and whether products are included. A lower figure sometimes means less of that work is in the price.
